A Duke of Edinburgh programme is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. You just need to be aged between 14 and 24 and realise there’s more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by.

How you can join up and where to go?
We meet every Wednesday, after school, 3pm-4pm in the LINC classroom. Everyone is invited and even groups of friends can join up too. We welcome anyone and everyone so please come and see us. We will give you an application form and explain all you need to know to achieve your award successfully.
What levels are we currently running?
We currently run a Bronze and a Silver group. We aim to be rolling out the Gold Award too so if you have already completed one of these levels and are interested in pushing yourself further then please come and see us. We have some great ideas for spectacular expeditions we could do
What do I have to do to gain my award?
The award consists of 4 sections. You must complete all 4 sections in order to pass and get your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award badge and certificate. The sections are: Developing a physical activity eg, football, netball, fitness, etc Developing a skill eg, cooking, arts and crafts, hobby activties, Completing some volunteer work eg, coaching, helping out around school, helping elderly relatives or babysitting. Completing your expedition – self sufficient camping and walking over a number of days.
